Costco selling unannounced Surface Go model with 4GB RAM, 128GB storage

When Microsoft took the wraps off of its latest Surface device, the Surface Go, earlier this month, the company announced it would just come in ii configurations: a $399 model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, along with a $549 model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Withal, now it looks like a 3rd pick is in the cards, splitting things right down the middle with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Initially reported past Neowin, Costco has the previously unannounced model for sale as a packet bargain for $549. While that price matches that of the model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, Costco's bundle includes the $99 Surface Type Cover. Taking that into account, it looks like this new model will go for $449 on its ain.

If you were looking to strike a compromise between the entry-level model and the high end, this new variant looks to provide a nice residue between the two. The package deal is now available for preorder at Costco with an August 2 release appointment. Note, however, that merely Costco members can place orders.

If you're not a Costco member, the other 2 variants are upwards for preorder at present at the Microsoft Shop and Best Purchase, with the latter offering a $50 gift carte as a bonus.
